Playcare

We call our call doggie daycare “playcare” because we focus on two things: PLAY and CARE. Your pups will play with other furry friends and be cared for by our passionate staff.

Our beautiful facility offers indoor/outdoor access for all dogs playing with us. They can climb on our play structures, chase balls, or splash around in a pool in our enclosed, shaded outdoor play area (weather permitting, of course). Our air-conditioned indoor area provides lots of cozy nooks to nap and lots of open space to wrestle! Fresh water is replenished often, and nap times are encouraged for the health and safety of the whole pack.

Our Pack Leaders are trained and continually educated in canine behavior, optimised pack grouping, sanitization & sterilization of our facility, and emergency preparedness. When your pup is with us, they are in the hands of genuine dog lovers who care for and play with your pup as if they were our family, too.

Each dog that enters our facility must complete a playcheck before subsequent playcare and boarding reservations. This is a simple temperament test where we observe your pup and their interactions with the rest of our established pack. At The Wag Shack, we don't separate packs by dog size; instead, we separate based on temperament so we can pair your pup with their best playtime matches.

Proof of vaccination is required for all dogs in our care. We require current Bordetella, Rabies, and DHLPP/DAPPv vaccines. BY Jan 2026, Canine Influenza will be required.

All dogs in our pack older than 9 months must be altered to play and board. We appreciate that many vets aim to wait over a year before spaying/neutering, and that pets will mature at different rates. Any pets showing signs of sexual maturity may be subject to dismissal until they have healed from alteration.

Late Pickup and Abandonment Policy: I acknowledge that The Wag Shack closes at 7 p.m. CST daily. If I fail to pick up my dog by 7:00 p.m. CST without prior communication, I understand that a late pickup fee of $5 for the first 5 minutes will be charged. After the first 5 minutes, there will be a $5 charge for every minute following. If I do not communicate with The Wag Shack staff by 7:15 p.m., and no arrangements have been made for the pickup, I understand that my dog will be housed overnight if a suite is available. If no suite is available, I authorize The Wag Shack to take any necessary actions to provide for my dog’s continued care. I agree to reimburse The Wag Shack for any additional costs incurred for this care.

Valid proof of vaccination must be provided and a playcheck must be completed before requesting any subsequent playcare or boarding services.
